Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum star in this futuristic sci-fi adventure.
The trailer has just been released for the the Wachowskis' 2014 futuristic sci-fi adventure Jupiter Ascending in which Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis star as two individuals whose lives become intertwined.
Mila Kunis Plays Cleaner Jupiter Jones In 'Jupiter Ascending.'
Kunis plays Jupiter Jones, a Russian toilet cleaner whose convinced her life will never amount to anything important on a grand scale. However, her humble existence is soon turned upside down when she encounters Channing Tatum's elf-like Caine, an interplanetary warrior, who tells Jupiter that she was born under a special night sky, with the stars pointing towards an extraordinary event and an incredible destiny.

Jupiter is informed that her DNA means that she is biologically destined to usurp the formidable Queen of the Universe, meaning just being alive is a privilege some don't want her to have.

Jupiter Ascending is the latest film from Lana and Andy Wachowski, the director siblings responsible for The Matrix movies, V For Vendetta, Speed Racer and the phenomenal Cloud Atlas.

The duo have ensured that their early trailer is packed with as much visually dynamic eye-candy as possible, showcasing not only their movies respectable cast but jaw-dropping digital effects used to conjure great leaps through space to other worlds.

However, one of the more immediate observations that leaps from Jupiter Ascending's trailer is Channing Tatum's rather unusual, elfin ears - presumably signifying that he is an alien lifeform. We're sure all will be explained upon the movie's release next year but for now please forgive us for saying that right now the Magic Mike actor just looks a little bit silly.
Jupiter Ascending is set for release on the 25th July 2014.
