Miley Cyrus turns 21 today but her birthday weekend got off to a rather unfortunate start when her home was burglarized on Friday, November 22. The LAPD North Hollywood Community Police Station confirmed to Us Weekly that there is currently an ongoing investigation and items were taken from her house.
It happened sometime in the afternoon and nobody was home at the time.
"She's extremely upset and a lot of personal items were stolen," a source told Us. "She's really shaken up about the whole thing."
The "Wrecking Ball" singer is set to perform at the American Music Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night.
