Singer Kelly Clarkson[1] just got what she considers the "best early Christmas present ever."
Clarkson, 31, and new husband Brandon Blackstock are expecting their first child together, the "Stronger" singer announced on her Twitter page Tuesday night.

Clarkson told Leno that she and her husband were ‘trying like rabbits’ to get pregnant. Apparently it worked.
"I'm pregnant!!!" she wrote. "Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever :)"

The happy news comes just a week after Clarkson's appearance on "The Tonight Show"[5] on Nov. 11, in which she overshared that she and Blackstock were "trying like rabbits" to get pregnant since their Oct. 20 wedding.
"Practice makes perfect!" she told Leno.[6] "We're trying, trying, trying."

The singer said she wants ‘five’ children with husband Brandon Blackstock.

Clarkson stopped short of admitting she was already pregnant to Leno, who tried to get the big reveal out of her on his show.
"We are not announcing anything right now!" she said.

Clarkson and hubby Blackstock wed on Oct. 20, and are already parents to his two children.
The "Catch My Breath" singer and her talent manager hubby are already parents to his two children from a previous marriage - Savannah, 11, and Seth, 7.
"We have two kids," Clarkson told Leno. "And they're so great. And I never wanted kids before, but now I want, like, five."
