The fifth annual Pittsburgh Fashion Week will sashay into the Steel City Sept. 22-28 at venues across the city. But event organizers are already gearing up for the anniversary with a new initiative, the Pop-Up Fashion C.O.R.E. (Create Opportunity for Real Exposure) project.

Pittsburgh Fashion Week founder and executive director Miyoshi Anderson announced this morning via a YouTube video (posted above) that she will be "popping up" across the city, and perhaps across the country, to interview models, designers, artisans, fashion photographers and stylists who are making a splash in the style scene. She will post videos of these interviews on social media in the coming weeks to spotlight the work of members of Pittsburgh's fashion and beauty community and to build excitement for Pittsburgh Fashion Week 2014.
