Remember 2003? Ten years ago, President Barack Obama wasn't a household name, Paul Rudd was just the goofy-hot stepbrother in "Clueless," and we'd never heard Ron Burgundy shout anything about Great Odin's raven.

Yes, Virginia, there was a time before "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy[1] ." The days were dark, but somehow we got through.

Today, in honor of #tbt and in eager celebration of Wednesday's release of "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues[2] ," we dug up this little video artifact: the very first time MTV News met the legendary Mr. Burgundy on the set of "Anchorman."

Nick Zano stopped by the set and chatted with Will Ferrell about the flick, referring to Ron Burgundy as "this 1970s TV news guy" with "a thick 'stache and bad hair." How dare!

Pardon us, we're getting a little choked up with nostalgia. A glass case of emotion, if you will.

"I do, like, four situps a day, I do a lot of vocal warmups," Ferrell explained of getting into character. "I shave my body, which you would think would be the opposite of bravado. Look at that: I'm wearing hose."

Castmates Steve Carell, David Koechner and Paul Rudd are on hand to goof off, of course. See what kind of shenanigans they got into on the set of the now-classic '70s-set comedy.

Check out the video above to see the Channel 4 News team in action for the very first time, 10 years ago. If that's not quite enough for you, don't worry, you can watch our "Anchorman 2" set visit too[3] .

"Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" is in theaters now.
