SANTA CLARITA, Calif. (AP) — Friends, fans and high-performance car enthusiasts are heading to Santa Clarita for a memorial for "Fast & Furious" star Paul Walker, who was killed there last week in a high-speed car crash.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies are anticipating thousands of people at Sunday's memorial for the actor who died when the Porsche Carrera GT he was riding in smashed into a light pole and tree. Also killed was Walker's friend Roger Rodas[1] , who was driving.
Scores of people were already milling around the area hours before the memorial was scheduled to start at noon.
Many people arrived in high-performance cars, and the air was filled with the sounds of engines revving.
Authorities are urging people not to break any traffic laws.
