Yes, that was Secretary of State John F. Kerry fist-pounding rapper Snoop Dogg, aka Snoop Lion, aka Snoopzilla, lover of weed, gin and juice.
Just a coupla gangstas chillin’ in the president’s crib.
“Boss life. me n john kerry at d white house !!!” Snoop said via Instagram, where he posted a brief video of him and Kerry at a White House reception for the Kennedy Center Honors earlier this month.
The two had a brief discussion about jazz legend Herbie Hancock, who was honored at the event, punctuated by the pound. Which, BTW, the secretary of state initiated! The clip also contains a brief cameo of Mrs. Kerry, aka ketchup heiress Teresa Heinz.
The video’s sound quality is poor, but some of the conversation can be deciphered.
“He invented your whole thing,” Kerry says of Hancock.
To which, Snoop adds that Hancock “invented hip-hop.”
After the pair bumped fists, Kerry can also be heard to say, “You gave me a good pound.”
Proving that the Louisburg Square homey really isn’t all that street....
