KIMBERLEY, Australia (NBC/APTN) - A bird snatched a camera and captured video of its 70-mile journey across Australia's remote landscape.
Wildlife rangers in western Australia's Kimberley region released video Monday revealing the sea eagle's journey.
The bird's wings can be seen flapping as it grabs the camera and flies off.
Later, the sea eagle puts the camera down and pokes at it with its beak.
Rangers set up the motion-sensor camera along the Margaret River in May hoping to record images of crocodiles.
It disappeared soon after, and rangers thought it had fallen into the water.
A ranger told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation the camera was found recently about 70 miles away near the Mary River.
When the footage was examined, rangers realized where the camera had been.
