Naanak, whom Sandra Bullock's astronaut hears barking as she makes a distress call from space, was crowned best in world at Sunday's Fido awards.
The dog, who has since featured in the Gravity companion short[1] Aningaaq, also received the blockbuster bowser prize.
The weekend also saw Gravity pick up a number of prestigious critics' awards.
The film shared the best picture prize presented by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA) and received additional accolades for its editing, cinematography and Alfonso Cuaron's direction.
Emmanuel Lubezki's cinematography for Gravity was also honoured by the Boston Society of Film Critics, though its own best picture prize went to 12 Years a Slave.
Adele Exarchopoulos plays a teenage lesbian in Blue is the Warmest Colour The West Coast collective further recognised the hard-hitting historical drama by honouring its director Steve McQueen and lead actor Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Gravity's Los Angeles honour was shared with Spike Jonze's film Her, which similarly features a performer - in its case Scarlett Johansson - who does not physically appear on screen.
The LAFCA's awards saw a number of ties, with Blue Jasmine's Cate Blanchett and Adele Exarchopoulos from Blue is the Warmest Colour named best actress and the best supporting actor award going jointly to James Franco and Jared Leto.
Blanchett was also crowned best actress by Boston's critics who, more surprisingly, gave its best supporting actor award to the late James Gandolfini.
Back in London, the Fidos presented further awards to a pooch heard talking in US comedy Small Apartments, a lapdog seen in The Great Gatsby and a Chihuahua from The Bling Ring.
A fluffy white dog named Suki was on hand to accept Naanak's trophy collar at Sunday's lunchtime ceremony, held at the Cinema Museum in south London.
