All is right in Quahog yet again.
Brian Griffin, the "Family Guy" family pet who was suddenly killed off[1] three weeks ago returned to his Rhode Island home Sunday night, rescued by baby Stewie and his time machine.
The move to revive Brian comes after widespread backlash from fans of the show, who cursed creator Seth MacFarlane for the random act of violence bestowed onto one of the show's most popular characters.
In the Nov. 24 episode titled "Life of Brian," the sarcastic canine was hit by a car[2] and died on the veterinarian's table in a tearful goodbye.
"You've given me a wonderful life." Brian whispered before passing away. "I love you all."
A new dog, Vinny, voiced by Tony Sirico of "The Sopranos" fame, took the pooch's place immediately.
Thousands of animated canine-lovers petitioned[3] on change.org to bring Brian back.
And in the spirit of the gleeful holidays, the fans got their wish. Stewie went back in time and saved Brian from his painful fate.
We also were blessed with a preachy tweet from MacFarlane Sunday night.
And thus endeth our warm, fuzzy holiday lesson: Never take those you love for granted, for they can be gone in a flash.
