In a recent interview, Good Morning America anchor talked about finding out she had breast cancer and her resolve to fight it.

Robach spoke to People[1] about her battle with breast cancer and recalled the moment she found out the diagnosis, calling it "a scene out of a movie."

She had her husband on speakerphone, since he was on a business trip, as the radiologist approached her with the results of her biopsy. Robach said she knew the news was bad when the radiologist asked, "Mr. Shue, are you driving?"

The TV anchor said that she "burst into tears" as the doctor relayed the results to her that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.

Once Robach got over the shock of finding out that she had breast cancer, the ABC News anchor said that she knew she had to treat the cancer aggressively, asking for a double mastectomy. "I want to be at my daughter's graduations. I want to be at their weddings. I want to hold my grandchildren."

On Thursday, Robach made her return to Good Morning America, reports the Daily Mail[2] . Originally she was going to return earlier in the week, but plans were altered as the network celebrated Sam Champion after it was announced that he would be leaving for The Weather Channel.

Robach said on the show, "Physically I feel remarkably well. Mentally, that's another challenge because that was phase one."

She initially discovered[3] that she might have breast cancer after discovering a lump during a mammogram she took for a GMA segment.
