Perhaps given the two people involved - Gaga always goes hard on stage, and R. is R. - perhaps we could have predicted the two singers dry humping.
Still, you never quite believe such things until you lay eyes on them.
At first, Gaga's risque plunging neckline and glittery jumpsuit felt almost run-of-the-mill by Mother Monster standards, but then Kelly took the stage.
As is often the case with Kelly, the duet took on a much more sexual vibe. Gaga kneeled down in front of him a position that suggested oral sex.
Then she laid down on the SNL stage as R. Kelly crept towards her on his hands and knees, then proceeded to do "push-ups" over Gaga’s body as she sang.
He eventually picked her up and let her gyrate on his midsection.
Good times. Gaga was also the host for the evening, and some of the skits were pretty funny ... especially this skewering of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West[1] :
