Taking the old fashioned approach of not airing one’s dirty linen in public, Tori Spelling is playing happy housewife and wonderful mother instead of a woman whose husband is the center of an infidelity scandal. As UPI.com reported on Dec. 28, 2013: Tori Spelling posts video of kids opening Christmas gifts [VIDEO]. Despite outward appearances, she is apparently not a happy camper. The New York Daily News reported on Dec. 27, 2013: Spelling refuses to comment on cheating rumors, making Dean McDermott’s life hell.[1] [2]

The gossip seems to have originated with Us Weekly magazine. Her husband allegedly hooked up with a woman in Canada “identified as Emily Goodhand, 28, a woman he was introduced to that day via friends,” as reported by USA Today: Report: Dean McDermott cheated on Tori Spelling[3] . The family is highlighted as the cover story on the magazine.

How reliable is Us Weekly?

Ironically, according to a Gawker report on tabloid reliability, they are one of the better ones. They are said to have cover story batting average of 35 percent accuracy and “59 percent of the unconfirmed resports.” Which Tabloids Lie the Most?[4]

The Tinsel town divorce problem

Because of the high profile divorces in Hollywood and in the sports world due to infidelity, it seems as if everyone everywhere is cheating. But this is not true according to nationally respected scientists who say that infidelity rates have hovered at 20 percent over a 20 year period. Infidelity forgiveness is 20/20 feature; analysts weigh in.[5]

For Tori Spelling, she might be taking the high road to forgiveness.
