PALM BEACH, Fla., Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Michael Jordan[1] and his wife Yvette Prieto are expecting their first child together, the U.S. basketball star's representative said.

Jordan's rep confirmed that Prieto was expecting, but there was no word on how far along she was, People.com said Sunday.

Jordan, 50, and Prieto, 34, were married last April in a lavish wedding held in Palm Beach, Fla.

The new baby will be Jordan's fourth child. He has three children from his marriage to his first wife, Juanita, which ended in divorce in 2006.
