Jen shares a love for our guilty pleasure T.V. shows

Gorgeous actress, Jennifer Lawrence has revealed that she enjoys a spot of reality TV just like the rest of us, as she told MTV News that the New Jersey based shows potentially helped develop her strong accent for Golden Globe nominated film, American Hustle.

Jennifer Lawrence has many strings to her bow. For hit film, The Hunger Games she literally had to learn to actually use a bow and arrow to portray hunter heroine, Katniss Everdeen. But now it seems Jen can add 'New Jersey accent' to her resume as she hits our cinema screens for the latest flick American Hustle complete with a thick New Jersey accent.

Strong accent, that's where the similarities end between Jen and the RHONJ ladies (WENN)

So how did this Kentucky-born lady manage to pull off a vocal chord transplant? By watching TV. In an interview with MTV News, the 20-year-old actress revealed: "I can't tell where it came from because I just kind of started speaking in it, and I've been watching a lot of reality TV shows and those reality TV shows have a lot of New Jersey women."

To which Lawrence added: "So I can't say that it's not from them."

A stellar cast, American Hustle features Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper and Amy Adams (WENN)

American Hustle has created a lot of awards buzz, with a whopping seven nominations at the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards. It not surprising given that the film is directed by David O. Russell, the same director of Silver Linings Playbook which won Jennifer an Oscar in 2012 for Best Actress. It looks like J-Law may need to invest in a display cabinet as one of American Hustle's seven noms is for Best Supporting Actress.

Naturally Jen is pleased as punch with the recognition for her work as she told MTV: "Thank you to the HFPA [Hollywood Foreign Press Association]. This is so exciting. I'm thrilled that the film received so many nominations and that I get to share this with the rest of the cast."
