Grand Hustle rapper Doe B[1] has been confirmed dead at the age of 22. The Alabama native was killed during a shooting incident in his hometown Montgomery, early Saturday morning (December 28).

Montgomery's WSFA 12 News [2] reports that the raper, born Glenn Thomas, lost his life after being shot at Montgomery's Centennial Bar and Grill around 1:30a.m. on Saturday. A second victim, 21-year-old Kimberle Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene, but the rapper was transported to a local hospital and later pronounced dead. Six other people were also reportedly shot in the bar, formerly known as the Rose Supper Club. Police have not released the names of any suspects as yet.

Doe B's management confirmed the sad news just before 4:30am via Twitter. "On behalf of doe b's management i would like to thank all of his fans and say Rest in Paeace my brother Glenn thomas aka @CBMDOEB," was the message sent out from the slain rapper's account. 12 hours before that Doe B had still been promoting his latest work and retweeting positive feedback from fans.

Grand Hustle CEO T.I. sent his condolences and promised fans that Doe B's death would not be in vain. "RIP to my lil brother Doe B. We gon miss u my ni----. U'll never be forgotten & U WILL NOT DIE IN VAIN. We Love U champ. Always," he tweeted[5] .

Doe B had just made some waves on Grand Hustle's compilation tape G.D.O.G., appearing on tracks like "Kemosabe" and "Real Ni--as," in addition to dropping his own mix tape Baby Jesus back in July. His fellow Grand Hustle soldier B.o.B. also said his goodbyes on Twitter after news of his death was confirmed.
