Britney Spears[1] has already publicly professed her "love" for boyfriend of eight months David Lucado, but it wasn't until the Dec. 3 episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show that the "Perfume" singer revealed how they got together. "I met him at a party," the 32-year-old pop star said of the Virginia-raised lawyer. "My friends brought me up to him...They brought me to him just to introduce me to him."

Spears added that their mutual attraction was "instant."

"Did you spend the rest of the party with him?" host Ellen DeGeneres[2] asked. Spears said yes, prompting the comedienne to pry even further. "And then the night?"

"Yeah," Spears joked. "No! I didn't spend the night, no."

"The next day?" DeGeneres asked.

"No!" Spears answered. "Ellen, no!"

The "Work Bitch" singer said she waited at least a day to see Lucado again. Since then, the twice-married musician has fallen head over heels for the laywer. "I just love that he's very passionate and he's funny and he's sexy," Spears gushed. "I don't know...I like him. I just...I love him!"

Spears later admitted that she and Lucado got into a "tiffy" on Sunday, Dec. 1. "It's his fault, of course," she laughed. "He forgot to call me back for a really long time, but we're fine now."

When DeGeneres learned that Lucado waited six hours to get in touch with his girlfriend, she threatened to call him on the spot. "I'll talk to him," she offered. While Spears appreciated the offer, she declined to put her boyfriend on the spot. "We're fine now," she promised. "We're totally fine."
