Taylor Swift has been known for her generosity so it is no surprise that she has been named the most charitable celebrity of the year for the second year in a row.
Taylor is top of the sixth annual Top 20 Celebs Gone Good List compiled by DoSomething.org after donating £66,667 to The Nashville Symphony. She also had a FaceTime phone call with a fan suffering from leukemia recently and she got up on stage and sung with Jon Bon Jovi and Prince William at a London fundraising event for homeless youngsters.
Second on the list were One Direction for their work with Comic Relief in Ghana and their charity single, One Way or Another, earlier this year. Harry Styles and Liam Payne also raised £533,333 for a cancer research organisation.

The late Paul Walker has also been added to the list following his death in November. Universal Studios bosses announced that they would donate a percentage of profits from Fast and Furious 6 DVD sales to the actor's Reach Out WorldWide charity.
Other celebrities noted for their efforts this year were Justin Bieber, who raised £666,000 for victims of the typhoon in the Philippines, even paying a visit to the country while on his tour. Carrie Underwood was also mentioned for her fundraising for those affected by the Oklahoma tornado.
On December 20, Taylor phoned Laney Brown on FaceTime to help her complete her 'bucket list' before she died from leukemia. Sadly, Laney passed away just five days after the conversation but her parents have described how happy her Taylor experience made her.
"Laney was so nervous to talk to her because she is such a 'famous celebrity.' I was actually worried that when Taylor Facetimed her that she would be too scared to talk but Taylor was fabulous!! She really engaged Laney in conversation," reads the Facebook post by Laney's parents.
"Laney lit up and had a huge smile on her face. I can't thank Taylor enough for taking time out from her family to make Laney's birthday very memorable. We will hold that memory in our hearts forever," it continued.
