The singer gave out $37,500 worth of gift vouchers at the Tewksbury, Massachusetts branch of WalMart this week
Beyoncé was in the festive spirit when she gifted hundreds of fans with $37,500 worth of gift vouchers on Friday, 20 December. Having just released her self-titled fifth album in physical form, following its sudden, unannounced release via iTunes at the end of November, the singer visited the Tewksbury, Massachusetts, branch of WalMart to pick up a copy of the album for herself. It is quite good after all.
Take that Target!
The album itself has already proven to be a smash hit, selling more than 500,000 copies in its first week of release despite no promotion. Despite being boycotted in certain stores[1] , the physical-form of the album could see it go on to sell even more record breaking amounts and as the video obtained by Us Weekly [2] shows, Queen Bey is leading the charge to make Beyoncé one of the most successful albums of the year.
