Amanda Bynes stepped out with her parents in what marked the first sighting of the actress in months yesterday, following the star's release from rehab.

After more than four months of in-patient treatment, first at UCLA Medical Center and then at a Malibu rehab facility, Amanda is finally a free woman[1] .

She's going to be keeping a low profile, though, living with her mom and dad in California. This dog walk video is about as exciting as you can expect:

That's undoubtedly a good thing. Amanda Bynes[2] ' family attorney says she is "feeling better every day" and that progress was evident Thursday.

Strolling through Thousand Oaks, Calif., alongside her parents Rick and Lynn Bynes with two family dogs in tow, Amanda just looked ... normal.

The recovering actress was casually clad in skinny jeans, Vans high-tops, sunglasses, a baseball cap and a white sweatshirt that said "Gang$ta Love."

Bynes, if you recall, was forcibly hospitalized following a driveway-burning incident in July, and eventually moved to a Malibu rehabilitation facility.

She was arrested for DUI last year and for tossing a bong out of her NYC apartment window this year, and had been behaving erratically to say the least.

Attorney Tamar Arminak said Bynes may go back to school. She's "now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design."

"She's mentioned before she's interested in creating a clothing line."

The actress, who was estranged from her parents, is now "very happy to reestablish the loving relationship with her family that she once shared."

Going forward, her mom Lynn will have legal control over her medical and financial decisions indefinitely, thanks to a court-ordered conservatorship.

We wish her nothing but the best in her continued recovery.
