DOVER — BJ’s Wholesale Club and LG Electronics are once again proud to sponsor Northeastern Ballet Theatre’s upcoming production of “The Nutcracker.”

This full-length version of the ballet will be performed for two shows only at Oyster River High School on Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. Dancing the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy is Northeastern Ballet Theatre’s own Elizabeth Stevens, a senior at Portsmouth Christian Academy.

“This year’s Nutcracker performances are going to be the best ones yet!” says Edra Toth, artistic director and founder of Northeastern Ballet Theatre. “This year we will welcome back several professional dancers,” says Toth, “as well as a new edition to our company, Christopher Thomas, of Chatham, Mass.”

Returning for his third year is Or Sagi-Woodson, originally from Israel, now of Cleveland and New York, who will be dancing the roles of The Nutcracker and Trepak (Russian).

Also, reprising his role of The Cavalier is John Ling. Ling is the head of the dance department at Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, as well an instructor at Northeastern Ballet Theatre’s training school in Wolfeboro.

These professional dancers, combined with the professionally trained local dancers help create the most memorable of Nutcracker performances. There will also be a performance on Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Kingswood Arts Center in Wolfeboro.

Tickets are selling very fast for all performances, so organizers are advising the public to get tickets today. Prices are $17.50 for adults, $15 for students and seniors and $55 for a family pack of four.
