Since the first "Hunger Games"[1] movie hit theaters, Jennifer Lawrence[2] has become known as much for her personality as she is for her films, a status that was perfectly captured during her tumble to collect her Academy Award[3] .

When MTV News' Josh Horowitz sat down with her "Catching Fire"[4] director, Francis Lawrence, he learned that Oscar night wasn't the last spill she took.

While the crew was filling a scene that any fan of the book will recognize, Lawrence had trouble walking in the elaborate wedding dress that Katniss wears onstage in front of an enormous crowd. The gown was a creation of "Catching Fire" costume designer Trish Summerville, and it may have been a little too over-the-top for Lawrence.

"The idea behind the wedding dress in the movie is this is the wedding dress that Snow supposedly wanted her to wear for the wedding with Peeta, that this would have been televised, of course," Francis Lawrence said. "So it's this big overdone, white dress that you can barely walk in, and of course, knowing Jenn, she couldn't walk in it. She was falling over all of the time."

But when she wasn't falling over, JLaw could; on occasion be found joking around with castmates Josh Hutcherson and Woody Harrelson. As her director, Lawrence needed to have a handle on situations like this, and he shared his trick.

"Every once in a while, you get the perfect storm of actors together, particularly Josh, Jenn and Woody, when those three would get together, things would start to break. They would have a blast together, but they wouldn't want to leave the set," he said. "So the crew is trying to work and light and do all of their things, and so I would have to shoo them away from set for little portions of time. One of the tricks with Jenn if she's joking around is to start rolling the cameras and call 'Action.' Then she'll just diver right into it."

"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" opens in theaters on November 22.
