The Food Network's annual Thanksgiving Live special is designed to give viewers pointers about Turkey Day, but this year Giada De Laurentiis[1] demonstrated what not to do.
De Laurentiis sliced her finger open while she was slicing a turkey roll on the live show Saturday, with other celebrity chefs Ina Garten[2] , Alton Brown[3] and Bobby Flay[4] looking on, Radar Online[5] reports.
Fall TV Report Card: How are the new shows doing?[6]
De Laurentiis briefly left the set to get medical attention, but returned after about 15 minutes with her finger bandaged, according to Radar.
According to her Twitter[7] , De Laurentiis required stitches, but she should heal in about two weeks. Thankfully, she wasted no time making light of her minor injury. She shared a photo of her finger[8] before and after, alongside the caption "an adjustment to my normal mani." She also retweeted a post from Brown[9] , who alerted a worried fan that they had located "the end of Giada's left index finger in the stuffing."
