Chris Brown 'Checked Out Of Rehab After 16 Days For Community Service' Star ... - Entertainmentwise

Chris Brown has left rehab after 16 days, it has been confirmed by his rep. The singer, 24, voluntarily entered a treatment facility in Malibu, California for treatment of anger issues following an arrest for misdemeanor assault in Washington D.C.

According to the latest reports the star, despite claims he could be at the centre for up to three months, had to leave due to his community service sentence steaming from his 2009 assault conviction for attacking then girlfriend Rihanna.

TMZ have claimed Brown's lawyer, Mark Geragos, states that he has to leave rehab to complete his community service hours as per his conviction. The star was handed out extra hours by the judge in his parole case in August after the courts were not satisfied that he'd completed the hours Brown had claimed too.

According to the report Geragos confirmed Chris would continue to seek treatment outside of the centre as an outpatient.

A statement confirmed: “Chris is continuing his rehab program as an outpatient and is also completing his community service in the Los Angeles area. He appreciates all of your encouragement and support.”

A rep for the star confirmed on October 30 that the star would be seeking treatment to "gain focus and insight" following his arrest in Washington D.C.

"Chris Brown has elected to enter a rehab facility," a statement said. "His goal is to gain focus and insight into his past and recent behavior, enabling him to continue the pursuit of his life and his career from a healthier vantage point."

Brown pleaded not guilty to charges of misdemeanor assault following a scuffle outside his hotel in the US capital on October 27. After spending the night in jail the singer appeared in court and then flew directly to California where he entered the treatment facility.

The star was spotted out in Los Angeles on Wednesday night with on/off girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
