On Friday, the Fashion[1] Director of People StyleWatch, Kate Dimmock, discussed Fall 2013 Fashion trends[2] for any budget with "Good Morning America"[3] . However, after some examination and a tiny bit of research, the Long Island Women’s Style Examiner[4] found similar fashions that are slightly more affordable.
With today’s economy, government shutdown and forced health insurance, purchasing the hottest fashion trends is not on every Long Island woman’s mind. While New Yorkers are always in style, maintaining a budget has taken on more importance in family life.
During GMA’s Splurge or Steal: Hottest Fall Fashion Trends[5] segment, Kate noted the three must-have items for this autumn’s wardrobe; sweater skirts, tuxedo pants and leather skirts. The problem was, many of the links provided went to the brand’s site and not the direct link of the item. Secondly, most of the fashion, even the “saves,” are just too pricey for many women; the middle class and money to burn barely exist and Long Island women now want a fashionable bargain. So with a little research, a slightly more affordable list has been put together with the links attached.
The sweater skirt was People StyleWatch’s first mention, but even at the suggested price of $50 at Kohl’s, is hard to manage for a trending piece of fashion that most likely won’t be in style in a few years. Instead, try ShopChristineMarie.com[6] for the versatile BB Dakota Thane Sweater Skirt at $34.50.
For the women’s tuxedo pants, we are all in agreement that Target[7] has one of the most affordable brands, however, Macy's[8] offers tuxedo-stripe leggings on sale for $26.99.
The leather skirt is a great look and GMA selected a pleated vegan style from Tinley Road[9] at $69, or you can choose an imitation leather skirt[10] from H&M for $24.95 and stay on budget, yet remain stylish with one of the hottest fall 2013 fashion trends.
